Have you ever wondered what it truly takes to write, edit, and publish a book on your own?

Have you spent hours searching through content all over the internet and social media platforms, trying to find answers—but ended up getting nowhere and feeling frustrated?

I'm AJ Eddy, and I'm excited to invite you into my world as I embark on the exhilarating path of self-publishing. This process has been both challenging and rewarding, and I've learned so much along the way that I want to share it.

Writing has always been my passion, and to see my words finally come together in a book is a dream come true.

However, sometimes, the dream takes a lot more than you thought to get there. With so many things behind the scenes going on it can feel overwhelming and disheartening. My goal with the series of self-publish and writing specific posts is to ease even one other author's struggles through this industry.

Not to say I am an expert. I'm just working through the process, and learning from my mistakes is free.

When I started this journey, the plan was to go for traditional publishing—the goal of any author. Yet, as I finished my final draft and sent it along to my editors, I came to a realization. The traditional route, while promising, often comes with its own set of constraints and uncertainties. I began to see the immense value in taking control of my own publishing journey.

All of which, I will explain in greater detail in a later post.

This is just my secondary introduction, after all.
